😮🧶 June WIPs 🧶😮

So hope you’ve made yourself a coffee as this may take some time……

First off the block and in my hands as we speak is the Muriel Cushion. Designed by Janie Crow for Inside Crochet Magazine issue 147.

I am about half way through this WIP so by the end of the month we should see a finished cushion along with the finished Gertrude floral cushion. Beth and I agreed she would do one and I would do the other.

Second on my WIP list is the Tropical Shore Blanket designed by Eleanora Tully for King Cole yarns.  This was last year's Crochet along (CAL) that never got finished.  I was struggling with the Postcard CAL so I put that away and decided to finish this instead.

I have two more rounds of the border to finish, ends to sew in then I will have my Ta-Dah moment  !!

Not bad that it took me a year to complete 😂

So whilst we are on Coastal Crochet I will show you a couple of other WIPs I have from this designer.

The Postcards with Love blanket is this year's CAL designed again for King Cole.  I started really well and was keeping up until the sunrise square sabotaged the whole project! Five times I frogged and still couldn’t get it right and so it’s cast aside until I feel calm enough to tackle again.

I must admit, having seen completed blankets online, I am a tad jealous now they are finishing the CAL.

The final WIP I have from Coastal Crochet is the Coastal Flower Cushions.  I saw a friend of mine @nanaseamakes had made these and personalised them with her motorhome, so I decided I would buy the kits and personalise with my caravan.  This is where I am up to:

I've cast these to one side for now as I struggled with the waves on the first cushion and then started the second cushion.  Then the Postcards CAL started and I got side lined!

Unfortunately these are just a few of my WIPs.  If you have read this far, how many WIPs do you have on the go?

Shall I continue?  Ok then just a few more……

Well those that know me know that I have a caravan and so decided to start a little project thinking I could complete it very quickly….that was 4 weeks ago 🙄

A change of designer but still items for my caravan is this Lighthouse Wreath by @lauralovescrochet https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/LauLovesCrochet

I do like this designer as there are quick projects and great stash busters. Check out her other designs! The Christmas Nativity pattern has already been purchased to make November time.

Again, if you know me well, you will also know I am a massive @attic24 fan.  I have followed Lucy since day dot and I have most blankets from this beautiful person and fantastic designer who just gives and gives to the crochet community.  She is such a special person.

Lucy is one of the @Stylecraftyarns Blogstars and for the jubilee celebration they all designed something special for the Blogstars garden party.  At simplyyarn.co.uk we sell most of the packs for the garden party projects, one being Attic24's Summertime Tins. So this is my next WIP to show you.

I have one Tin already completed and sat on the shelf with the kits for sale in the shop.  I am hoping to complete this as soon as possible and then start on the final tin.  Hopefully by the end of May I will have the full set photographed to show you.

Here is the link for the pattern.  Please can I ask that you respect the designers copyrights on these patterns and only download for personal use 🙂

Every now and again I like a change and saw a beautiful FREE pattern from Wilma Westenberg https://wilmade.com/tulip-square-bag-with-handles/.

This is the progress so far…..

My reason for casting to the side is that I needed to order the handles, line the bag and crochet round the handles.  This has now been sat a good 6 months since handles arrived and so I really need to get this finished soon.

Not to bore you any further I will list the rest of my WIPs with links as some these have definitely been around a few years.

And I have a tapestry cushion I did in my 20s that needs making into a cushion!

I also have various part embroidered projects from my mum who passed away a very long time ago and finally 15 unopened historical sampler boxes https://www.historicalsamplercompany.co.uk/ 😮🤪

So can you beat me with your WIPs?

I pledge by the end of July I will have finished the following:-

1. Attic24 Summertime Tins

2. Coastal Crochet Tropical Shores Blanket

3. Lighthouse Wreath

4. Muriel Cushion

I do hope you have enjoyed my little/big WIP blog.  Please share on social media as every little helps in small business land.

I wish you all a fantastic July.  I may check in between but if not see you at the end of July with some finished projects to show you

Lots of summer time love ❤️
